Extreme Swimmer and Ocean Ambassador

André Wiersig is an Ocean Ambassador and one of the world’s most renowned extreme swimmers. As the first German to complete the Ocean’s Seven, he has crossed some of the most challenging waters on the planet but his work today is less about conquering distance than about reconnecting people with the ocean. In his TEDx talk, he shares how swimming alone at night in open water changed his perspective on fear, trust and our responsibility for tomorrow.

Trauma Therapist and High-Performance Coach

Adina Petre is an Amsterdam-based trauma therapist and high-performance coach, working bilingually in English and Romanian. She helps highly ambitious people who function well on the outside while staying silent about what's really happening inside to recognise the trauma patterns hiding behind their success and build lives where ambition and inner stability meet. Her work is trauma-educated, drawing on nervous system science and a deep respect for the demands of ambitious lives. "Dare to Ask" is her invitation to move from surviving to thriving.

Leading from a Wheelchair

Despite being confined to a wheelchair from early childhood, Felix built a remarkable career and became a CEO. This talk is about things that really matter in life. It is about attitude, achievement, and caring for others. Felix combines a distinctive blend of biotech knowledge and business psychology, developed in Aachen, Germany and Edinburgh, UK. Fueled by innovation, bravery, and a strong commitment to sustainability, Felix focuses on fostering authentic relationships among individuals and between humans and animals. Being bound to a wheelchair from his earliest years in life, he made his way to becoming a CEO. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.

 

Adwoa Tima Awuah

From Poses to Purpose

The talk focuses on how we can drive positive change by building bridges across continents, cultures, and people. Additionally, it explores how something seemingly superficial, such as a national beauty contest, can be turned into a source of positive impact. Adwoa Tima Awuah is a Ghanaian-German social entrepreneur, speaker, and Clinical Psychology master's student. Growing up between two cultures, she focuses on identity, mental health, and representation. Adwoa continues to build bridges across continents and cultures, creating space for underrepresented voices. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.

How to Build Bridges

Difficult and complex situations can be managed. How? By stepping back, understanding the situation, listening to people and their emotions, recognizing individual objectives, and finding common ground. Dipjyoti Deb (DJ is the Impact Innovation Lead at Airbus in Munich, Germany, where he drives innovation at the intersection of technology, society, and sustainability. He serves on the Advisory Council of the Airbus Foundation, mentors female social entrepreneurs, and lectures on innovation at business schools. His passion lies in using storytelling to build bridges between “what is” and “what if.” This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
